We previously reported on the online exposure of spy photos for Xiaomi’s third car model. The new car, internally codenamed ‘Kunlun,’ is expected to be officially launched and sold in 2026. Recently, a video of Xiaomi’s car family undergoing winter testing surfaced on Weibo, featuring not only the Xiaomi YU7 but also what appears to be the rumored third model from Xiaomi. From the screenshots, it is evident that the new car has undergone significant changes in exterior design compared to the previous two models, aligning with the previously leaked spy photos.
It is anticipated that the final version of this model will have a notably different appearance from its predecessors. According to earlier news, Xiaomi’s third car model will be a mid-to-large extended-range SUV, catering more to family users, with an expected starting price of around 150,000 yuan, further broadening the consumer base for Xiaomi cars. In terms of manufacturing, Xiaomi may choose to engage in deep cooperation with Wuhan Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and there is a possibility of acquiring and retrofitting existing Dongfeng factories to produce this new car.
